JoyRx Music®

Our JoyRx Music program draws on the universal power of music to help hospitalized children feel better. Our trained Music Specialists empower kids to find their joy through curated, child-centered musical experiences that best suit their current emotional state, desired mood, and engagement level.

We reach kids where they are and help make their tough days a little brighter.

We’re making music in more than 50 pediatric healthcare facilities, in 20+ states nationwide.

Thanks to the unwavering support of our community, donors, and supporters, JoyRx Music continues to expand across the country with significant growth in both digital and in-person program offerings. JoyRx Music is now delivered to more than 50 healthcare facilities across 20 states!

We reach children through three modes of delivery:

  • In our hospital and healthcare facility settings (based in Portland, OR, Austin, TX, and New York City, NY), our highly trained JoyRx Music Specialists engage with children through personalized, curated experiences that best suit their current emotional place, desired mood, and engagement level.

    Children can request a song, sing along, participate in music lessons, or borrow an instrument to play along. A child might dance and sing or may simply lean back and listen — whatever they need, our musicians provide. See it in action here.

  • JoyRx Music Digital Live provides kids with a moment of connection across the digital divide.

    We partner with hospital staff to integrate live music into their existing entertainment systems or JoyRx-provided technology, whether that be direct one-on-one virtual interactions or livestreamed sing-alongs with activities.

    Our JoyRx Music Specialists meet the kids where they are — whether singing together, requesting a favorite song, or participating in a music-themed activity hosted by JoyRx. See it in action here.

  • JoyRx is ready to meet kids wherever they are. That’s why we’ve partnered with hospital staff to integrate music into their existing entertainment systems, broadcasting on-demand offerings for children to access.

    Whether it’s available on their personal devices or through CCTV or accessed 24/7 through YouTube, JoyRx Music On Demand helps kids feel connected even when our team is away on our YouTube channels:
