Summer Joy Games: Finding Joy in Movement

Four people raise their arms up in a sign of victory.

We teamed up with BurnCycle, The Lab X Burn, and BurnMVMT to bring Summer Joy Games back to the field of Providence Park. This family-friendly, community-driven event raises funds and awareness for Children’s Cancer Association’s free-of-charge programs.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s event raised $15,000!

The Power of Movement

More than 200 kids and grownups turned out to the event, which included a decathlon, workout, games, and a giant beach ball on the field of Providence Park.

The Power of Joy

Jessi Duley, BurnCycle Founder, and Kristin DuVal, CCA Ambassador Board Member, kicked off the group workout by sharing CCA’s mission and programs.

Three people lead a cardio exercise.

The Power of Solidarity

Jessi Duley, founder of BurnCycle, promised to have her head shaved if her $3,000 donation was matched. Our community, which never ceases to amaze us, stepped up and collectively matched and beat Jessi’s donation. The result?

You rock, Jessi!

The Power of Community

This community event would not have been possible without the help from Portland GearBrew Dr. KombuchaBabica HenPush X PullProvidence ParkKind BarsWild FriendsWCEPPlay Boutique, and Stella’s Kitchen.
