JoyRx Hosts Second Annual JoyRx Music Network Convening
On September 11, JoyRx hosted the second annual virtual JoyRx Music Network Convening, with over 40 attendees joining from across the country.
The event aims to strengthen connections with JoyRx Music healthcare partners and share best practices for supporting pediatric patients and families with music. It’s an opportunity for our healthcare partners to connect with us and with each other.
As part of the JoyRx Music Network, each healthcare partner helps us facilitate live bedside music, Digital Live music, or On Demand music offerings in their hospital or healthcare facility.
The event started with updates from JoyRx Music Manager Elke Downer and Director of Partner Engagement Allyn Cripe, then moved into a facilitated partner spotlight highlighting speakers.
Attendees heard from Laurel Terreri, MA, MT-BC, Lead Music Therapist at Memorial Care Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach (one of our Digital Live and On Demand sites); Taylor Brower, CCLS, Child Life Supervisor at the Brooklyn Hospital Center (one of our Digital Live sites); and Kayci King, CCLS, Child Life Specialist, Texas Children’s Hospital – North Austin (one of our live bedside sites).
Each guest speaker shared about their facility, music programming, and their approach to external partnerships.
Lastly, JoyRx Music Specialist Gabby wrapped up the event by previewing the Digital Live team’s new music trivia activity for attendees to play!
We received great feedback from the event, including a five-star rating. One hundred percent of your attendees reported that they would likely attend a future JoyRx Network event and recommend the event to a colleague.
When asked what the most valuable part of the event was, it was a tie between JoyRx Partner Spotlights and the Music Trivia preview.
We plan to continue hosting this event each year and look forward to our next partner convening.
